On the 10th of February 2023 a graduation ceremony was held at the Faculty of Medicine, in the Conference Room of the E-Learning Centre, for the graduates of the General Practice Nursing and Social Work study programmes.
60 graduates (Lithuanian and Ukrainian groups) of General Nursing received their higher education diplomas. Graduates of this programme obtain a Professional Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and a qualification as a general nurse.
Higher education diplomas certifying the Professional Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences and the qualification of social worker were awarded to an international group of Social Work graduates - 8 students from Latvia.
The qualified professionals who are about to embark on their professional careers were wished that the diplomas they have received will further boost their self-confidence and open up more career opportunities. The Director of the UAS, congratulating the graduates, noted that this year Utenos kolegija graduated a particularly large number of international students and wished all of them to be excellent professionals in their field, to continue to grow and develop and not to forget their Alma Mater.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Danguolė Šakalytė, wished the graduates to discover their strengths and use them. "You have them. I believe with all my heart that each of you has the potential to succeed," said the Dean.
The graduates expressed their sincere gratitude for the knowledge and experience they had gained, and the general nurses affirmed their commitment to work for the sake of people's life and health with the Nurse's Oath.
The diplomas were presented to the graduates by the Director of Utenos kolegija, Dr. Raimundas Čepukas, the Deputy Director for Studies and Science, Dr. Vitalija Bartuševičienė, and the Dean of the Faculty, Danguolė Šakalytė.
A musical gift was given by Kotryna Vaitiekėnaitė, a student of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
